ADR Stage Picture Delivery Specs

Image Size: 1920 x 1080 (Production Letter Boxing within this Raster Size)

Frame Rate: 24 FPS, 23.98 FPS, 29.97 FPS or 25 FPS

Preferred Picture Codecs: AVID DNxHD 36, Apple ProRes 422, or Apple ProRes Proxy

Audio Guide Tracks

Mono Dialog, Stereo FX and Stereo Music is our guide track delivery recommendation.

Audio Guide Tracks should be included in delivery as separate files in BWF (or .WAV)

Files should include a sync pop that corresponds with a visual sync pop or Academy Leader.

Head and Tail pops for feature film reels are recommended.

Audio File Format is flexible and can be specific to your production. (Mono, Stereo, LCR, 5.1)

Video File Codec Recommendations:

Professional Editing Codecs such as:

AVID DNxHD 36, Apple ProRes 422 or Apple ProRes Proxy are preferred.

Although picture specs listed are “preferred”, we try to be flexible to your needs.

H.264 usually works, but can lead to performance or sync issues within Pro Tools.

H.264 will be accommodated but is not recommended.

Please feel free to Contact us about any other special requirements.

Picture Burn In: This is flexible to your production’s needs. FOX recommends the following.

Timecode Burn-in upper left, Feet and Frames Burn-in upper right.

Reel or Episode version info in between the TC and footage burn in is recommended.

If Security Water Marking is required please use: “FOX ADR” as a transparent burn in.

Session Paperwork, Cue Sheets, Sides and Scripts

Please let us know if you require Fox to print paperwork or if a member of your production will carry in cue sheets, scripts or sides to the ADR Stage.

Should you require us to print cue sheets, please share with us how many copies you will need for your talent and crew. The first 20 pages will be printed as a courtesy, but any copies after that may incur a service fee.

File Delivery:

If carrying in media to the ADR stage: USB 3 and Thunderbolt drives are preferred.
